Fishing Areas

Todd Moen shows the beauty of fly fishing paradise Spatsizi as well as tells the stories of guide outfitter and Canadian fishing legend Ray Collingwood and his daughter, Carrie

Laslui Lake

Our fly-in lodge is located at the headwaters of the mighty Stikine River on Laslui Lake. In addition to the prolific trout rivers and lakes immediately surrounding the lodge, our clients have exclusive fly-in access to an untouched angling paradise twice the size of Yellowstone. Our location allows guests to fish headwaters to the Stikine, Skeena and Arctic watersheds.

Firesteel

The legendary firesteel river, home to the Collingwoods’ original outfitter cabin, boasts some of the densest rainbow trout population per river-mile on the planet. Originating in Tatlatui lake, the Firesteel is punctuated by sets of cascading waterfalls as it meanders it’s way down to the Findlay River, and ultimately north to the Arctic.

Part of the fly-out program includes a flight from the main lodge to this guest favorite. Dry fly fishing, wildlife viewing, and relaxation are the featured highlights of this unique river.

“While I am standing out in the river with T and just taking it all in, here comes our pilot and guide, Tim, wading in the waist deep, cool, clear, water carrying a plate with fork and freshly cooked rainbow.”

— Tom, on the last day of his trip

Species

“I was not prepared at all for the majestic beauty of the Spatsizi wilderness.

Neither words nor for photos can describe this place; it needs to be experienced.”

John Segal
