With access to over 30 fishing destinations, our lodge offers an unrivalled trout fishing experience. All trips include daily fly-outs, dictated only by personal preferences and prevailing conditions. The fishing takes place on small rivers, lakes and streams, crystal clear with easy wading. The streams are loaded with feisty, gorgeously marked Rainbow Trout . For diversity, try free-rising Arctic Grayling, Lake Trout and trophy sized Bull Trout. The hatches of Stone, Caddis, and Mayfly are phenomenal!

Guests arrive in Smithers, BC via Vancouver a day before their trip starts. Our expediter will greet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. Your adventure begins early the next day as your group departs out of Tyhee Lake to enjoy the scenic 1 hr float plane trip to spectacular Spatsizi.

From base layers and rainproof outerwear, to rods, reels & fly boxes, check out our Recommended Gear Guide to make sure you’ve packed the essentials. There is also a small pro shop at the lodge where you can purchase flies, leaders, tippet, and other fishing accessories.

Our team is the best - from pre-trip administrative support and dedicated expeditors, to amazing chefs and customer service staff. Our guides are world-class, knowledgeable in entomology, fly casting, and fly fishing skills. Our experienced bush & seaplane pilots are certified by Transport Canada. Some have been flying for over 30 years and have logged in excess of 10,000 hrs in the immediate Spatsizi area. Rest assured, every aspect of your trip is in good hands.

Spatsizi Lodge consists of a central chateau-style cookhouse with a lounging area, and deck overlooking Laslui Lake. Enjoy delicious, chef prepared meals in the central dining room. Our guests stay in rustic log cabins equipped with cozy log beds, a wood stove, and private ensuite shower and sink. Separate flush toilets are centrally located. Electricity from our solar/inverter power system is available 24 hours a day.

All anglers over 16 are required to carry a basic 8-day angling license - it must be obtained on-line here prior to your trip. To help preserve our pristine waters, we have implemented Aquatic Disease Prevention practices. Maintaining this true wilderness environment is a top priority and we are happy to share it with our guests.
